Overview

The mission of the Scripps Genome Center is to provide the computational resources and expert analysis required to interpret each microbial genome in its environmental, ecological and evolutionary context. Our aim is to create partnerships between computational and experimental biologists. We provide guidance, including training and documentation, resources and access to cutting-edge bioinformatics tools.

We provide individualized, one-on-one training to researchers to help them choose, learn to use and interpret data from the software packages best suited to their needs. We also train the next generation of marine biologists and ecologists in computational techniques.
